It's been a crazy month for the homebrew scene for the xbox crowd; we had a chance to speak with the founder of freexex.
His request was to remain nameless, but he was able to answer a couple of questions we had.

CT: Who are you guys and what do you stand for?

Freexex: Homebrew, everyone is dedicated to making homebrew thrive. Making the xbox360 as kick ass as possible. We have a lot of talented people, some who are well known, and some who came out of the woodwork with fantastic shit to offer, everyone compliments each other. We have at least two people who specialize in each area, and always bounce ideas off of each other.

CT: When did you guys form?

Freexex: This year, bunch of us started to talk and just started to work together.

CT: Love at first sight?

Freexex: indeed.

CT: Past couple of days some stuff came out that really isn't about homebrew, do you think that hurts progress going forward?

Freexex: We have pretty strict rules, no messing with live, and no release of xbla stuff. I mean each person has their own opinions on certain topics, regarding piracy, and morals. But everyone is dedicated to homebrew. We have contacted most of those guys to be able to make one unity.

CT: Sounds like a good idea, how did that end up working out?

Freexex: There were some conflicts with certain established members etc… We aren't mainstream, nor are we "the dudez". We are just programmers who wanted to have some usefull apps

CT: What were those?

Freexex: Some individuals wanted pre release stuff, wanted to know all releases 2-3days in advance etc… But seeing as we don't even know that stuff, it was really hard. People like Relapse leaking stuff just made it worse.

CT: Do you think it was more a screening process from people than anything else? or they wanted all the glory for it all?

Freexex: No comment

CT: Can you tell us anything about "TheLoader"? Been reports within the 'scene' that it fell into the wrong hands

Freexex: It's a lie, relapse is the only one who had it, and that was an old, it didn't even work on retails. If you watch his movies he doesn't even once start "theloader" he only shows a CD with the name. We had "theloader" and as soon as our code worked for loading stuff from USB, we stopped using it.

CT: So it was something that was never to see the light of day?

Freexex: Exactly, thats why there was a vid using our xexloader long before it was anywhere near completion so the requests for "theloader" would stop.

CT: So you guys have nothing to do with these arcade releases?

Freexex: Nope, we were against that.

CT: Anything else you guys are working on or can talk about right now?

Freexex: Got a few good coders for emulators, next xexloader will have XEX patching. Other apps, mostly smaller apps now. We have an agreement with xbreboot, so we won't have to work against each other. We also had our hand in the 360ogm Dash as well.

CT: Thanks so much for your time, can't wait to see what you guys have in stored.

Freexex: No problem , also shout out to xboxhacker and anyone involved with free60….
