Adam Sessler Swipes At L4D Petitioners

Recently, Hellforge posted an interview with Adam Sessler taking swipes at Left 4 Dead petitioners.
Adam said, "It's kind of juvenile, the internet when it comes to games can be such a nation of whiners, when there's far better things to be doing."
While some do agree with what Adam had to say, some of the petitioners took his comments to heart.
Where I do understand where Adam comes from with respect to a nation of whiners, a lot of people miss that maybe gamers have been spoiled with extra game content which is pretty much a standard these days. From horse armour to massive level add-ons, there is normally something to be expected from games.
This isn't really a community blabbering on how bad the game is, rather a community taking a sense of ownership of something for which they paid and showed support.
Left 4 Dead, however, got little of that during its run. Furthermore, I believe developers and designers should be honoured that fans have this much care and loyalty toward a product. Maybe it isn't the fans that are a nation of whiners, Adam. Maybe it's the industry as a whole who have turned to little babies, giving the fans cookie-cut game after cookie-cut game time and time again and believing that the consumer should have no voice.
We fans spend the our hard earned money, no matter if a title is ten dollars or 70 dollars. It gives us a right to express our dislikes and interests.
