It would be an understatement to say Nintendo has the market by its balls and giving it a squeeze.
Sales numbers for the Wii and DS is enough to prove Nintendo is back on top, but for how long?

Recently on the 1up show they had discussion on who they thought and felt would be going forward and taking strong hold on this gen console war.
I always felt that Nintendo wasn't for me, now I'm not saying this because there is a fan boy inside of me, its just fact. I'm not impressed with anything thats out for the Wii right now, other then Wii sports and Trauma Center, this isn't to say the Wii and DS is a bad system, far from it. It just isn't for me, my girl friend hasn't had a system since NES, but fell in love with DS and Wii.

But at times I feel Nintendo isn't marketing there products to me, I could careless about WiiFit since I go to the gym, I respect the idea..but next to last on my list to buy.

So we look over to Sony and Microsoft, Microsoft has such a stellar line up with Sony starting to bloom late 07 and beyond, seems they are marketing games for me, a self proclaimed hardcore gamer.

But from what I see this gen war is different from what I've seen in the past, not every single system is screaming polygon numbers and flashy tv spots from the past.

Seems Nintendo isn't really targeting on the hardcore. It seems they are just doing enough to keep the loyal fans at bay and venturing towards the casual gamer.

As Sony and Microsoft are fighting over the hardcore...

Whats do you feel?
