Sega Dreamcast CHECK-GD: Loop Checker Disc

    Source: http://segakatana.com/hardware.php?cat=dcdev&id=dclp100

Here's one strange disc which looks similar to the Dreamcast SYSTEM-DISC 2, but is not.

This disc was used by Sega of Japan, to check various parts of the Sega Dreamcast to see if the hardware was working properly. These discs were never released to developers, as they were internals of Sega of Japan.

Here are two of the many screens you can see when you run the disc on the Sega Dreamcast:

I've just added a YouTube video of this disc running off the HKT-0120 Sega Dreamcast Development Box:

The MPEG Encode Samples from the Sega Dreamcast CHECK-GD: Loop Checker disc have been uploaded on YouTube. They are: ManxTT (Honda), Sonic3D, and SonicCD.

These could not have been possible without the help of drkIIRaziel and PsyMan of Emuforums. Many thanks!

Also, there were two images that caught my attention. They looked like the prototype screenshots of Windy Valley from the Dreamcast version of Sonic Adventure. What do you think?
